Hamburg’s Lehult are back again with more weird and wonderful house textures, this time a co-project from label regulars Liem and Eddie Ness.
The project’s title track slides in effortlessly amidst seaside samples, before plunging into a hard groove that escalates through euphoric stabs and lacerating drum sequences. Momentum is carried forward into Ki Bekko, splicing and dicing synths and vocal samples for some peak time oddities.
Although the melodies in Whsou and Midssum take the EP down a more reflective path, both tracks maintain the same tough underbelly that characterises all output on this imprint.
Out on the 8th of September.
